Somewhere beyond the sea Somewhere waitin' for me My lover stands on golden sands And watches the ships that go sailin'. Somewhere beyond the sea She's there watchin' for me If I could fly like birds on high Then straight to her arms I'd go sailin'. It's far beyond the stars It's near beyond the moon I know beyond a doubt My heart will lead me there soon. We'll meet beyond the shore We'll kiss ...

Little Dictator Pootin brought me here... this is a much better version (the original). Fats Domino has always remained one of my favourite Top 100 artists to listen and learn from, and I cannot stand for others doing terrible covers of his music. Especially dictators of dictatorships in northern tundras.
これぞロックンロール!。
Put in brought me here 😂
I'm 46 and play this song over and over. I love it!
Happy Fathers day Dad I'm listening to all your favorite music today.

*_Rest In Peace Fats_* *_Job Well Done, Sir_*
Fats Domino was the absolute favorite of my dad, he got the diagnosis of vascular dementia last year and passed away May 5th (his mothers birthday). Close to the end he was “absent” a lot and sleeping a lot, we played music as much as possible and even when he didn’t know who he was or where he was he started tapping his foot and tried to sing along. It was the final song we played at his cremation… “I found my freedom…” I hope you did dad and never have to ask yourself who you are or who we were… rest in peace… I love you!! ❤

Me and my parents and daughter went to an oldies concert in Atlanta, I was 20, and fats Domino sang this song and it sounded just as good live. I can remember singing this as I played in the yard in 1978.

Richie Cunningham !! :) LOVE Fats !!!
I wonder who sang it best; Louis Armstrong or Fats Domino? Oh well, they both sounded great.
My grandfather was buried in Texas. As he was lowered into the ground there was tears around and distress, but then this song played as his final goodbye to us. Most of the tears then stopped
Without Fats the others would’ve never came along
The Richie Cunningham song. :)
My grandpas song ❤ miss you so much!!
Another favorite! When i was growing up, My father would often say he remembered hearing Fats Domino play on the radio when he & my uncle first moved to Chicago back in the mid 1950s, when they were in their 20s. Today, dad would be 92 if he were still living. This was one of his favorites too. A lot of Good Music was being played back in those days! When it comes to Fats Domino, He was among the Best of Americas National Treasures! 🇺🇲 "Often imitated, but Never Duplicated!"
😊
This popped into my head so here I am listening to it on RUclips...
Mooie herringen aan dit nummer. Zoiezo aan fats domimo. Draaide me lieve overleden moeder vaak😢 als ik dit nummer draai..zie ik ze weer dansen voor me. Mis je mama ❤
Back in the mid 2000’s, when RUclips was still in its infancy, I showed one of my favorite uncles the magic of Limewire. He was amazed that you could essentially find any song you could think of and play it instantly. This was one of his favorite requests and it always happily took him back to his younger days. He’s passed on now, but this song (amongst countless others we enjoyed) will always make me remember him and our times together. This one’s for you, Uncle Joe!! 🍻
Bravo gros bébé.
The one and only, the god of music, Pray for us from heaven, Sir. 🙏
I love Fats songs, and just music from this era in general. Music back then was just so good
I’m 85 years old and the first concert I ever attended was in 1955 in Asheville, N.C. Was Fat’s Domino . I will never forget it. It was one of my most memorable occasions
Fantastic first concert!
Love this tune! When I was a little kid in the early '60s, I thought it was written about our Blueberry Hill, around 15 mi east of my hometown in northern MN.
My Daddy loved music. When Rock n Roll started he was still country until Fats Domino records came out. He also like BB King. Who would of thought!
